Jacqueline Edens

President/Chief Executive Officer

Born and raised in Chicago, Jackie began her 29-year career with the City of Chicago in 1975 in positions including Mobile Crisis Intervention Worker, Shelter Clearinghouse Coordinator; Asst. Director of Legislative and Community Affairs; Director of Homeless Services; Asst. Commissioner, Division of Family Support Services; and Commissioner, Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development.

After retiring in 2004, Jackie consulted in workforce development and homeless services. In June of 2012 she joined the board of Inner Voice and became CEO that September. All of Jackie’s kids have paws and they all currently live in Logan Square.

Diana Mitchell

Chief Program Officer

Diana provides the day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the mission and core values of the agency. Diana is a goal-oriented, high energy, hands-on professional, with a successful record of accomplishments in the field of supportive services. She is detailed oriented and program centered with a strong commitment to facilitating the needs of disadvantaged individual/families within the homeless, veterans and special needs populations.

Ms. Mitchell has been with Inner Voice for 20 years in various positions. She lives in Chicago with her husband, mother and five grown children.

Khurram Navaid

Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Khurram is responsible for Inner Voice’s financial matters including budgeting, analyzing and audit work. Before joining Inner Voice, Khurram worked for over 20 years in the field of Accounting and Finance in his home country of Pakistan. In his free time, Khurram enjoys photography, sports and cooking.

Tracey Dulaney

Deputy CPO

Tracey graduated from Chicago State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in June 1990. Her social service career began at Inner Voice in 2006, where she worked as a case manager, lead case manager, and assistant director. After seven years with Inner Voice, she was recruited by a partnering agency where she obtained several certifications, including as a National Certified Recovery Specialist. After 10 years with this agency, Tracey returned to Inner Voice, the place she always considered home, in late 2022.

Andrew Gaddy

Director, Emergency and Transitional Housing Program and Triage Housing Program

Andrew began his career with the largest substance abuse treatment facility in the city of Chicago, where he gained experience working with individuals looking to regain control of their lives and realized then that his calling was that of service to others. Over the past two decades, he has been a detox specialist, certified assessment and referral specialist (CARS), certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC), program coordinator for Responsible Fatherhood Program, Housing Liaison, Case Manager, and Director at Eddie Beard Vet House.  In his current role with Inner Voice, Inc. as a Program Director, he manages the agency’s three transitional housing programs and supervises over twenty-five staff members.

Halbert Williams

Director, Veterans Programs

Halbert joined Inner Voice as a Supportive Housing case manager in 2019, and quickly moved to the Veterans Transition in Place program. With his knowledge and gift of building rapport quickly with staff and participants, he was quickly promoted Director of Veterans programs, such as the TIP and VACM programs. These programs offer a roadmap for housing and goals, identifying barriers, and helping them access services and addressing their diverse needs.  More recently, Halbert has taken on responsibility for the CHP, CHI, Housed Now and Moving programs, expanding his expertise to non-veteran programs, as well.  
 
The programs and the team he oversees walk alongside participants on their journey to self-sufficiency; assisting with employment and building a sense of community and confidence.  Seeing the client move to a place to self-reliance, employment and happiness is his biggest reward for this job he loves.

Nancy J Powell

Director, Client Resource Development & Communications

Nancy has spent most of her career in event management, marketing and communications and the last 17 of those years as the owner of a small boutique marketing agency. She is thrilled to be working with such a committed team that work tirelessly to help families, individuals and veterans find a place to call home after experiencing homelessness. With the right resources, caring support, job training and more, the organization and its team make a difference every day. Even more impressive to Nancy is the number of people that work on this team that have at some point been clients/participants of Inner Voice and want to give back what they received themselves through Inner Voice. Nancy joins this team to help build support, awareness and funds for Inner Voice and its clients.

Director of Finance and Human Resources

Alma Hundiak graduated from DePaul University and Penn State University with over 15 years of experience in non-profit accounting, human resources, and administration which includes internal control, operations, compliance and auditing.

She enjoys working with numbers, creating processes, policy writing and implementing programs that support the organization.  “Being able to support social service organizations with the work that I enjoy feeds my soul and I know it makes a difference”
